NCAC Student Travel Awards & Travel Grants
To promote the acoustical consulting profession, NCAC offers qualified students financial assistants to attend industry conferences. There are two grants available:
Students Invited to NCAC Annual Meeting 2024
Students interested in a career in acoustical consulting are invited to attend the NCAC Annual Meeting June 12 – 14, 2024 in New Orleans. Click here for schedule and registration.
NCAC Student Travel Award
$500 grant, 2 nights hotel reimbursement (at conference group rate or less), one year subscription to electronic NCAC newsletter, and recognition as travel award recipient
Eligibility:
- Enrolled in college or university program.
- Author of an accepted paper at a Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA), or Audio Engineering Society (AES) conference.
- Qualifying research topic (see Application Instructions for a list of qualifying topics).
- Show an interest in acoustical consulting profession.
- Completion of application packet, including faculty reference form.
Application Deadlines:
April 15, 2024 for 186th Meeting, Ottawa, Canada, 13-17 May 2024
May 12, 2024 for Noise-Con 2024, New Orleans, LA, 10-12 June 2024
Students may receive one award per conference.

New NCAC Travel Grant for Underrepresented Students
$500 grant, one year subscription to electronic NCAC newsletter, and recognition as travel award recipient
Eligibility:
- Enrolled in college or university program.
- Registered to attend a Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA), or Audio Engineering Society (AES) conference.
- Self-identified as a member of an underrepresented group based on ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Show an interest in acoustical consulting profession.
- Completion of application packet including faculty reference form.
Application Deadlines:
April 15, 2024 for 186th Meeting, Ottawa, Canada, 13-17 May 2024
May 12, 2024 for Noise-Con 2024, New Orleans, LA, 10-12 June 2024
