PRIMARY PURPOSE

Market Leaders are subject matter experts that plan and manage medium sized teams responsible for complex and large-scale projects within a geography or service line. They are responsible for the performance of the team and growth of existing markets, while working to identify new opportunities. Additionally, will have direct project management and work product responsibilities ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery that result in high customer satisfaction and excellent business performance outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Execution (15%)

– Internalize RSG’s mission, vision, values, practices and strategies and speaks confidently,
accurately and persuasively to advance all.
– Actively work in alignment with leadership to confidently and accurately operationalize strategies
and tactics.
– Lead and guide a market/service line for a region, executing consulting engagements on-time and
on-budget with RSG’s high standard for delivery.
– Develop project strategies that align with client and organizational goals, considering client
objectives and industry trends.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and expand service offerings.
– Guide project managers in managing project resources efficiently, including human capital and
other project-related assets.
– Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation to win and deliver work optimally.
Identify opportunities for service enhancement and innovation.
– Monitor and drive accountability for on-time and on-budget delivery of high quality projects.
– Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, management of staff, including mentoring and
development of staff.
– Mentor consulting leadership to enhance the overall capabilities of the consulting team. Ensures
junior staff are receiving effective mentorship and guidance for growth.

Business Development and Client Relations (25%)

– Drive business development efforts to generate revenue.
– Play a key role in positioning the consulting division strategically within the market.
– Develop and nurture client relationships that contribute to growth of larger/longer relationships.
– Understand client needs and contribute to solution development, while acting as a key point of
contact for clients.
– Identify growth opportunities within existing client organizations, and build new client
relationships.
– Identify growth opportunities and contribute to new client acquisition or new types of existing
client engagements.
– Identify opportunities for additional services.
– Maintain knowledge and information about industry trends and best practices to lead the
development of market strategies and business plans.
– Actively participates in activities/industry events to advance the RSG brand.

Project Delivery and Management (60%)

– Provide operational direction on project goals and client deliverables.
– Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of projects.
– Responsible for full teams project delivery performance and ability to meet client expectations
ensuring a high-level of client satisfaction.
– Provide oversight of the project portfolio and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
– Efficiently allocates resources, monitors and reports key performance indicators for project
success.
– Drive accountability for key performance indicators, contingency planning and issue mitigation
(e.g., difficult client conversations) to maintain high standards of performance and successful
outcomes.
– Perform project-related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

– Bachelors degree required
– Preferred areas of study: math, acoustics, physics, engineering, or a similarly relevant field of
study
– Masters or other advanced degrees preferred
– 15+ years consulting and domain expertise
– PE and/or INCE Board Certification strongly preferred

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a BS or MS in a field of science or engineering with at least four years of experience in acoustical consulting. The Consultant will conduct field measurements, develop recommendations for room acoustics, airborne and structure-borne sound insulation, and perform HVAC system noise and vibration control engineering. In addition, the Senior Consultant will conduct environmental noise assessment studies, including the development of noise mitigation. Experience in the design of audio-visual systems would be a plus. Additionally, a Senior Consultant is responsible for preparing design documents, participating in project design team meetings, coordinating with other design team members concerning acoustical design details, developing acoustical criteria for different types of facilities, and preparing proposals for new work. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit is desirable. Experience in the use of various sound level instruments is essential. Project work includes direct contact and coordination with our clients. Excellent verbal and writing skills are a must. Some travel can be expected, but mostly it will entail inter-island travel.
