With offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Seattle, Salter is an acoustical consulting and low-voltage technology (audiovisual, telecommunications, security) systems design firm. We work with architects, building owners, and other consultants on issues relating to sound and vibration in a variety of building types.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for entry-level or early-career acoustical consultants for our San Francisco and San Jose offices. Working at Salter offers opportunities to quickly contribute to the firm and to work on a wide variety of projects. We provide mentorship and on-the-job training for new consultants, but also expect them to have a high degree of independence. Job functions include:
Our work includes field visits to construction sites, use of ladders, and occasional off-hour measurements. There is also the occasional need for travel out of the area.

Geiler & Associates, LLC located in Aurora, Colorado has an opening for acoustical/audio & video system designer. Candidates should have a B.S., or B.A. in architectural, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields and at least 1 year experience in acoustics and audio & video design. Responsibilities would include consulting on projects involving room acoustics, sound isolation, environmental noise control, HVAC noise & vibration control as well as audio & video system design. Good written and oral communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and a proven record of being able to work independently are essential. Candidates should be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office with experience with 3-D acoustic modeling (Cadna & EASE) and acoustic measurements a plus.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics
0-2 years of work experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Acoustical Consulting
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite
Demonstrated ability to learn and use design and engineering software
Willingness and ability to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel
Valid driver’s license
