AKRF serves the acoustics, noise, and vibration needs of property owners, developers, architects, engineers, and construction managers throughout the U.S. — from coast to coast and everywhere in between. We provide a broad range of consulting servis during the planning, design, construction, and operation of buildings and infrastructure, including new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse.
Our experienced professionals perform all the requisite tasks for acoustics, noise, vibration analyses, from sound and vibration measurements and monitoring to state-of-the-art computer modeling, building acoustics tests, mechanical equipment noise surveys, predictive analysis, and acoustical design recommendations, including noise control and vibration isolation. AKRF also provides audio/sound simulation to help clients ‘experience’ their building during design.
Due to our work in many dense, urban environments, we are particularly proficient in mitigating noisevibration from adjacent transportation systems and other sources. Additionally, our professionals have been asked to review and revise various municipal noise codes, including the New York City Noise Control Code.
We have worked on all types of projects — commercial, retail, residential, infrastructure, transportation, industrial, institutional, cultural, hospitality, recreational, and more — for varied clients like Coca-Cola, National Grid, Metropolitan Transportation Authority,AR, Penn Medicine, Columbia University, Deepwater Wind, and some of the largest real estate developers in the country.
AKRF is based in New York City; maintains seven offices in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland; and has full-time employees working throughout the country. Learn more at www.akrf.com and follow the firm on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
