Job Summary:

We are looking for a full-time Acoustical Engineer at the Associate or Senior Associate rank to join us working remotely from home in the Charlotte metro. In this position you will consult on a range of project types using your expertise in room acoustics, sound isolation, HVAC system noise, and vibration control to enhance the design and solve unique acoustical challenges. This role is ideal for an acoustician interested in working on a broad range of architectural projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Serve as clients’ main point of contact
    • Develop acoustical criteria for projects
    • Prepare reports with acoustical analyses and solutions
    • Review submittals during project construction
    • Conduct acoustic measurements
    • Estimate time required for project proposals

 

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in acoustics, mechanical engineering, or related field
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Good verbal communication skills
    • Must be self-directed
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and EASE preferred
    • Previous consulting experience preferred
