SLR International Corporation is seeking an entry to mid-level Staff Consultant to join our Acoustical Consulting operations in Houston, Texas; Portland, Oregon; or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our preferred candidate will have a very strong academic background, and 0-2 years of experience working in either the architectural or engineering field, or as an acoustical consultant. In order to succeed in this position, candidates must be resourceful, intelligent, flexible, and willing to learn. Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics
0-2 years of work experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Acoustical Consulting
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite
Demonstrated ability to learn and use design and engineering software
Willingness and ability to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel
Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications
High GPA, academic achievements, and academic recognition
Working knowledge of acoustics
Familiarity with use of acoustical instrumentation
Experience in architectural/industrial acoustics or engineering practice
Willingness to participate in and cross-train for environmental, industrial, and other engineering projects as needed
INCE Bd. Cert., LEED, AIA, and/or PE certification or pathway
Experience with software programs such as SoundPlan, Cadna/A, CATT, INSUL, and EASE

Key Responsibilities

Work with a diverse group of clients, in various locations inside and outside of the United States
Perform field work
Help in preparing project reports and presentations for clients
Assist with aspects of measuring, quantifying and analyzing sounds, noise and vibration
Attend meetings with clients
Work alongside SLR engineers and specialists, assisting with work in a variety of disciplines
Contribute to project deliverables, multi-tasking and working concurrently on different projects
